Choosing a real estate agent or property service
An agent who knows your area well prices more accurately and sells faster. Ask about recent results nearby rather than company-wide figures.
What to check
- Licence or registration to act as an agent where you live
- Recent sales or lets in your street or area
- Fees and exactly what they include
- Contract length and how to end it
Questions to ask
- How did you arrive at this price?
- How will you market the property?
- Who will handle viewings and negotiation?
