“Not sure” counts as no: check it in your profile. Any critical gap keeps the result below “Strong”. This is our working checklist, not an official Google score.

Why it matters

For a local business, the profile often gets more views than the website.

When people search for a service near them, Google shows the map and three profiles first. The profile decides whether they call you or the next one, so a complete, active profile with recent reviews is usually the cheapest way to get more local customers.

How do I rank higher on Google Maps?
Google says local results depend on relevance, distance and prominence. You cannot change distance, but you can improve relevance (the right categories, services and description) and prominence (reviews, photos and a strong website).
What is the most important part of a Google Business Profile?
The primary category. It tells Google what you are and decides which searches you can show for. After that come reviews, then complete and accurate details.
How many reviews do I need?
There is no fixed number. Aim for more than the businesses that show near you for your main search, and keep new ones coming every month.
Can I put keywords in my business name?
No. Use your real business name as it appears on your sign and documents. Adding keywords breaks Google’s rules and can get the profile suspended.
Is this an official Google score?
No. It is our own checklist from setting up and fixing local listings, weighted by what tends to matter most.
Not sure where your local listing falls short?
The SEO Sprint audits your profile, location pages and local schema against the businesses that rank above you, and fixes the gaps.
