Free, no sign-up, nothing stored: your post never leaves your browser. “See more” points are approximate and change with screen size. X counts links as 23 characters and emoji as 2, like X does.

Why the first line matters

Most people only read what shows before "see more".

LinkedIn folds a post after about three lines, Instagram after about 125 characters. If the point is not in that first part, the rest is rarely read. Write the hook first, then check every platform at once.

What is the character limit on each platform?
X 280 (more with Premium), LinkedIn posts 3,000, Instagram captions 2,200, Threads 500, TikTok captions 4,000, YouTube descriptions 5,000, Pinterest descriptions 500, Google Business posts 1,500 and Facebook posts 63,206.
Why does X count my post differently?
X counts every link as 23 characters however long it is, and counts emoji and characters like Chinese or Japanese as 2. This checker follows the same rule.
How many hashtags should I use?
Instagram allows 30, but 3 to 5 relevant ones work better. On LinkedIn 3 to 5 at the end of the post. On X one or two. YouTube ignores all hashtags if a description has more than 15.
Is my post stored?
No. Everything is counted in your browser and nothing you type is sent to us.
