Turn your FAQs into structured data

Type each question and answer as it appears on your page. Get FAQPage JSON-LD to paste into your site, with checks for the mistakes that make it invalid.

What you get

  • Valid FAQPage JSON-LD, ready to paste
  • Warnings for duplicates and empty answers
  • Works with WordPress, Wix, Shopify and plain HTML

Add your address and hours too with the local business schema generator.

Your code (2 questions)

<script type="application/ld+json">
{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@type": "FAQPage",
  "mainEntity": [
    {
      "@type": "Question",
      "name": "Do you offer free delivery?",
      "acceptedAnswer": {
        "@type": "Answer",
        "text": "Yes, on orders over $50 within the city. Smaller orders pay a flat $5."
      }
    },
    {
      "@type": "Question",
      "name": "What are your opening hours?",
      "acceptedAnswer": {
        "@type": "Answer",
        "text": "Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 7 pm. We are closed on Sundays and public holidays."
      }
    }
  ]
}
</script>

Paste it into the page’s HTML (in WordPress, a Custom HTML block), with the same questions and answers visible on the page. Then test the URL in Google’s Rich Results Test. For your address and hours, add the local business schema too.

FAQ schema in 2026

Fewer stars in Google, more answers in AI search.

Since 2023 Google shows FAQ rich results mainly for well-known government and health sites. The markup still tells search engines and AI assistants exactly which questions your page answers, which helps them quote you.

Will FAQ schema give me rich results in Google?
For most business sites, not any more. Google now shows FAQ rich results mainly for authoritative government and health websites. The markup is still valid and still read by search engines and AI tools.
Where do I put the code?
Anywhere in the page's HTML, usually in the head or just before the closing body tag. In WordPress, add a Custom HTML block on the same page as the questions.
Do the questions have to be visible on the page?
Yes. Google's guidelines say every question and answer in the markup must also be visible on the page. Hidden FAQ markup can be ignored or treated as spam.
Can I use links or formatting in answers?
Yes, a few simple tags are allowed: links, bold, italics, line breaks, lists and paragraphs. The generator removes other HTML.
